PLATO’S  POLYHEDRONS

Regular 4-faces polyhedron.

Tetrahedron

Regular 6-faces polyhedron.

Hexahedron.

Regular 8-faces polyhedron

Octahedron.

Regular 12-faces polyhedron.

Dodecahedron.

Regular 20-faces polyhedron.

Icosahedron.

These are all and only 5 types of regular polyhedrons. They are called Plato’s polyhedrons because we believe that Plato, famous Greek ancient philosopher, was first who mentioned about them. He also knew that there were not other types of regular polyhedrons.

See a page of ‘Literka’ 'How to build dodecahedron' about 12-faces regular polyhedron.

Some better picture of icosahedron and remarks provides a page of ‘Literka’ ICOSAHEDRON.
